MEADVILLE -- Roger L. Wolff, 24314
State St., Blooming Valley, Crawford County, died unexpectedly Tuesday
afternoon (5-23-00) in Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was 53.
Mr. Wolff was born March 16, 1947, in Meadville to A.R.
"Jim" and Geraldine Whistler Wolff.
As a veterans employment representative for 27 years at Meadville Job
Center, Commonwealth Dept. of Labor and Industry, he was involved in
employment activities in the Mercer County area.
He was previously employed briefly at Meadville Forging Co.; and the
former Wolff’s Service Center, Meadville.
An Army veteran, Mr. Wolff served during the Vietnam conflict and was a
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville; and American
Legion Post 285, Saegertown.
He was instrumental in erecting flags in Blooming Valley for special
occasions.
Mr. Wolff was a member of St. Agatha Church, Meadville.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Mary Lou Hamilton, whom he married
Dec. 12, 1972; a sister, Mrs. John (Diann) McCaskey, Meadville; and two
brothers, Denis, Meadville; and David, Cochranton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
